if you have a piano then press a black key. it also depends on the key you are pressing too, as different keys make different sounds.
when you strike a piano key you get a musical note out of the piano.
The piano is used by hiting the keys on the front of the piano. Each key has it's own unique sound. The black key's pitch are a little higher or lower. The keys are attached to hammer like tools that hit strings. Each key has a unique sound or pitch because the hammer like tools hit different length strings. The shorter the string, the higher the pitch, the longer the string the lower the pitch.
A piano produces sound just like a guitar. Inside piano either grand or upright has piano strings attached inside with every keys. When you hit a certain key, the strings vibrate creating sound that is very pleasing in the ear.
To make the sound sound loud, press harder down on the key. To make it sound quieter (piano) press lighter down on the key.
The key of a piano connects to a system of levers which moves a small hammer that strikes a wire inside the piano. The wire will then vibrate and make a sound. That sound is then amplified by the wooden body of the piano, which resonates with the wire.

There are 36 black piano keys that are raised and further back than the white keys. The black key on the right of a white key is a sharp and the one on the left of the white key is a flat.
When you press a key on the keyboard (of a piano), this enables a little hammer inside to strike on a string that produces the correct note.
There is the organ, piano, harpsichord, synthesiser, and the alto. The organ is a huge instrument that whenever a key is pressed the sound comes out of a huge tube. The harpsichord is an electric version of the piano. The piano is whenever a key is pressed a hammer hits one of the strings, the alto is a lot like the piano, and the synthesiser is also like the piano.
When you press down on the key of a piano, it causes a lever to move a hammer. The hammer then strikes a string that produces the sound.
A tone on a piano is usually what it sounds like. For example, on keyboards, you can choose different tones. (to make your key sounds different, but the same sequence. like changing the sound to a saxophone)
