Why does chardonnay make you mad?

Because Chardonnay is usually an over-oaked, over-malolactic fermented mess and people in tasting rooms will say something like "I understand that you don't want to try our Chardonnay, but our Chardonnay doesn't taste terrible like everyone else's." Then, if you give in and try it, you remember why you hate Chardonnays because it does in fact taste like all other Chardonnays, and then you're mad again.

What is the difference between mer lot zinfandel chardonnay pinot noir and etc?

I'm no expert but I have tried them all. Chardonnay is clear yellowish color and has a more dry taste, & to me is bitter, merlot is usually a dark red color and I think taste more smooth then chardonnay. White zinfindel & rose are both dry but not as much as chardonnay & can be a pink or blush color. As for how they are made that makes them different & what areas of the world produce them, I don't know, that's what I was trying to figure out when I googled this question

Could Chardonnay go with a prawn and salmon chowder?

It is no longer believed that certain wines 'go' with certain types of food. Experts now advise that one should drink whatever one likes with any food. I might say no to Chardonnay with fish, but you might find it ideal.... it is all a matter of personal taste. Go with what you like.
