Other than the MIL light illuminating you may not notice any performance issues.
cause
A short in the O2 sensor heater circuit or the sensor itself
A faulty O2 sensor heater
Wiring or connectors are broken or frayed to the sensor or relay
Bad PCM or ECM
The fix
Correct wiring short or loose connector found in inspection.
and/or
Replace the bank 1 sensor 2, O2 sensor
Replace PCM if circuit has failed and no wiring issues present, good O2 sensor
Trouble code P0038 means:HO2S heater control circuit high (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
Trouble code P0700 means:Transmission control system malfunction
Trouble code P0340 means:Camshaft position sensor circuit malfunction
Bank one catalytic converter failure.
Trouble code P0733 means: Incorrect gear ratio, fourth gear
Trouble code P0300 means:Random/multiple cylinder misfire detected
Trouble code P0551 means:Power steering pressure sensor circuit range/performance
Trouble code P0442 means:Evaporative emission control system leak detected (Small leak)
Trouble code P1494 means: Leak detection pump pressure switch or mechanical fault
Trouble code P0441 means:Evaporative emission control system incorrect purge flow
Trouble code P0340 means: Camshaft Position Sensor A Circuit (Bank 1 or single sensor)
Trouble code P0441 means:Evaporative emission control system incorrect purge flow
Battery temp sensor location back of battery towards fire wall
