Well, it depends. Many Factors.

Cox and most companies find it cheaper to go with theft instead of spend more money fighting it.

1st off. It Is The installer that makes the discovery 90% of the time. He Might be an independent contractor who does want to bother disconnecting the coax from the illegal hook up. He may be tired or might not care.

Get some one that is a true company man. And Hell disconnect it a try to put a blocker on the line. 90% if you did not break anything they will install a blocker on the Coax and

You will not have cable until you pay.

I have never witnessed or heard of the police being called.

But You never know... What I write is not anything to go by.

If you steal you steal...... It is illegal.

You catch them on a bad day. Or get that new company hires by Cox that is out looking for cable thefts. Then you just might end up on probation and paying fines...
