What does deleting your cookies do?

It cleans up a small amount of space one your computers memory (Hard Drive in this case). The"Cookies" file is only used to let you or your systems administrator know just where have you been one the internet. This will be logged automatically no matter what Internet program you are using (Fire Fox, Safari, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc). The basic user thinks that there is no way to get around this but the advanced user knows that there is a setting that you can set this to never save your vied web sites, EVER!

Cookies may contain information for a customized Web page or may contain logon information for a Web site. Before you delete your cookies, you may want to export or save them. Use the Import/Export Wizard in Internet Explorer to export your cookies.

Click the "Under the Hood" tab and locate the "Security" section

In the "Cookie settings" section, click the "Show cookies" button.

Select "Remove all" to delete all cookies from the list (alternatively, you can remove all cookies created within a specific time period by selecting the "Clear browsing data" option in the Tools menu).

To delete a specific cookie, simply select the website that set the cookie from the list and click on "Remove".

Click on the Close button when you've finished.
