What does drink the blood of the lamb mean?

ive never heard it called drinking, but ive heard washed. washed in the blood of the lamb means, that you are holy forever. your not really getting washed in a lambs blood, but some people call Jesus the great lamb. washed in the blood is you realizing your life is missing something, so you pray a prayer and mean it with all your heart mind and soul and "give god your car keys" if you will. like the song Jesus take the wheel by Carrie Underwood. she realized she couldn't do it alone so she turned over her life to god and gave him her car keys so to speak. she is allowing him to take her and lead her wherever he wants her to go. that's what washed in the blood is all about. that's what being a christian is all about. once you do that, there is nothing you can ever do to make god walk out on you. once you give your life to christ, he will own it forever no matter what. there is nothing you can do that is so bad that would make god leave you. nothing. i guess drinking would be when you take communion on the first Sunday of every month. the bread represents the body of christ, that was beaten and broken for you. the wine, or Grape Juice depending on where you go to church, represents the blood of the lamb Jesus Christ, that was spilled so that you might one day spend eternity in heaven with him. you eat and drink the bread and wine in rememberance for what christ has done. here are some words to live by before i leave:
