When the swing reaches its two highest points, its kinetic energy is zero because it is not moving momentarily, and its potential energy is at its maximum. As the swing moves away from its two highest points, in other words, swings, its potential energy decreases and its kinetic energy increases.
Energy is NEVER lost in an energy chain. It is simply converted into a different source of energy or matter. For example, in swing, a person would get on, and use mechanical energy to power it so it can move. What people don't realize is that on the top, the metal chains that hold the swing together also moves along with the swing. Up there, the mechanical energy that moves the chains a little, and friction starts to occur. But that's not it. Instead of helping with the movement below, frictional force above the swing causes energy to be somehow "lost" in the trail. That's not true at all. The energy "lost" is converted into heat in the process.
It oscillates between gravitational potential energy at the top of it's swing to kinetic as it moves and back to gravitational energy on the opposite side.
Oscillate?
From potential to kinetic and back again - with every swing.
Gravity makes a pendulum swing back and forth. The object starts at one point, and then moves in a circular motion to the apex of it's next point. The kinetic energy becomes less and less as time goes on if no extra energy is added.

As the swing moves, potential energy changes into kinetic energy. At the highest position all energy is gravitational potential energy as the swing has stopped at its highest position. Then the energy is converted back to kinetic energy, KE as it descends.
just jump in it and move keys back and forth
An automatic transmission shift valve is like a swing. It is moves back and forth with the use of pressure. That is how gears are changed.
a swing set is machanism that allows children to swing back and forth.
I have parts that swing back and forth, back and forth, while part of me stays put could be for a swing
A pendulum
