When I think of the words Girl Scouts, I think of children. Girls camping, laughing, selling cookies, helping older people cross streets and cleaning up parks. An important part of girl scouts in the friendship and selflessness, along with traditions like singing songs such as "Brownie Smiles" and "If all the raindrops....".

In Italy, the Girl Scouts refer to their brownies as "Lupette," which translates to "little wolves" in English. This name is derived from the Italian scouting tradition, where younger girls are part of the "Lupetti" or "little wolves" program, inspired by the theme of the Jungle Book. The term reflects the adventurous spirit and camaraderie among the young scouts.
The Boy Scouts were founded in 1907 by Robert Baden-Powell in the UK to promote outdoor skills, citizenship, and character development among young boys. The Girl Scouts, established in 1912 by Juliette Gordon Low in the U.S., aimed to empower girls through leadership, community service, and outdoor activities. Both organizations sought to foster values such as teamwork, self-reliance, and responsibility, while providing a supportive environment for youth development.
