Why does God want us to be dependent on Him in stead of looking after ourselves?
Every time we purchase an equipment we all expect to find the instruction of use, and it is expected to be in the container or in the box of the equipment. The Book of Genesis 2: 15-17 shows why God created the human race, which is to take good care of his environment, then came the instructions, then came the consequence if respected or not Which was life or death Genesis chapter 3 and Romans 5: 12 in mankind's history. Humans have accumulated pitfalls after pitfalls, which have brought us to where we are today. Mankind have to come to the conclusion written in the Book of Jeremiah 10: 23, where it says that " It does not belong to man/waman who is walking even to direct his/her step". Humans were not created to rule themselves. They have done and continue to do a poor job in governing other people and solving their problems. God has always wanted what is best for us, confirmed in the Book of Isaiah 48: 17,18 in these words. " I, Jehovah, am your God, The One teaching you to benefit yourself. The One guiding you in the way you should walk. If only you pay attention to my cpmmandments! Then your peace....righteousness etc..... The Book of Micah 6: 8 reads. "He has told you ( God has told us ) O man/woman what is good. And what is Jehovah requiring of you? Only to exercise justice, to cherish loyalty". Mankind has put aside the instruction, that was suppose to teache us how to be successful in life, and we expect a different outcome than what is described about our society today, in the Book of 2 Timothy 3: 1-5, in these words. " Men/women will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, unthankful, disloyal no natural affection and so forth..... So to answer your question, which is why we have to depend on God? Well ! God has given the human race enough time to realize how incompetent we are in that area. Our planet is in a mess, while we were suppose to take good care of it. The Book of Revelation 11: 8 shows what God is going to do with all those who refuse to take good care of the gift that was given to us, in these words. " Reward those who wants to live under His instructions, but bring ruin (to destroy) to those ruining ( destroying ) the earth . Psalm 37: 29 shows what our future holds, in these words. " The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it", which has always been God purpose.
