It makes round things.
The bed of a NC lathe is at an angle just to ensure swarf slides to the bottom of the machine for collection. They are referred to as "slant-bed lathes". The angle of the bed is dependent to the manufacturer. Some built 90 degree or vertical beds (Monarch Machine Tool Series 220 for example), and others built lathes at varying angles from horizontal, 70, 60 and 45 degrees are the most common, with 45 degrees about the shallowest angle that can be had and still have good chip flow. Other builders use a horizontal base, and use a triangular carriage to achieve the slant effect to shed chips and coolant.
Usually, if it's precision cnc machining like Swiss style machines for example, it's not an hourly rate. You would normally talk with the customer and bid a price on it, which is like a lump sum for the whole job depending on complexity, material, 2nd processes, etc. So if you tell them two weeks and it goes over, it's your loss. It's generally easy to judge it by the machine, if your Tornos is banging out 120 parts an hour on something small for 45 cents each, or is your machine making 20 parts and hour at 55 dollars a piece? Most machine shops would love to work on an hourly basis because they know what they need to make an hour to make money. In the Midwest, if you can make $50-$60/hr on your mid-range CNC equipment, you are making money. As such, this is the type of price you would be charged if you ask for CNC time on an hourly basis. More expensive machines (e.g 5 axis) command higher rates.
45 * 10 = 45 + 45 + 45 + 45 + 45 + 45 + 45 + 45 + 45 + 45 = 450
It isn't. 45-45 = 0.It isn't. 45-45 = 0.It isn't. 45-45 = 0.It isn't. 45-45 = 0.
90 * * * * * No. 45 - 45 equals 45 is a false statement.

lcm(5, 3) = 15 lcm(5, 45) = 45 lcm(3, 45) = 45 lcm(5, 3, 45) = 45
45 +45 ------ 90
Half of 90 is 45 (90 divided by 2)
45 x 4 =45+45+45+45=90+90=180
