hi! it kind of feels like a quick sharp pain followed by a dull ache and swelling. basically what they do is get a hollow needle and push it through they then leave the plastic inner tube in your lip and pull the needle part out they then put the bar into the hollowed out part of the plastic inner tube and then they pull the tube and the bar through your lip until the bar replaces the plastic tubing in the new hole and fasten the bar (this being the most painful part as the bar is being wiggled around) make sure you eat something sugary before you go in or have something to eat as you wont be able to eat afterwards or it would take you an awfully long time to eat it. it took me an 1hr 30mins to eat 10 fries! and dont drink alcohol the night before as it will prolonge any bleeding you may have from the piercing. good luck and happy piercing :D!
