That he is happy. Bubblenests are a good sign. A betta that is happy and healthy enough to devote thought to breeding often builds and maintains a nest because in the wild, having a large nest immediately captures the attention of passing females. Bettas are more likely to blow nests if they can see females.
Do you mean female and male? If so, then the female betta fish is smaller and less elaborate than the male.
the guy at PetSmart told me it means the fish wants to mate ...yep, even fish have the need :)
It is courtship but be careful during the mating the male will kill the female then the male will make a bubble nest. When the babies hatch be shure to separate the babies or they will eat each other hope this helps
I believe you mean Betta fish. No, it should be fine. You can treat you Betta fish by giving them bloodworms!
If there's another fish around he's doing it to look scary.
No they cannot. But if you're planning on breeding your betta fish I suggest you don't let the male and female share a bowl all the time. Because the female may not be particularly nice to the male. By that I mean she'll probably bite at him and other things so just be aware of that. Hope this helps :)
When your Betta fish is fasting it means it is not eating, this usually happens after the Betta has bred and it will not eat until all the Betta eggs are hatched.
Betta's are super Territorial once they see another one they go for the kill and one they do their is no stopping it they stop until one is dead even with cory catfish's the will kill anything ( fish) in my book their the king of the world ( and by world i mean tank) so i wouldn't even risk it weather male or female a betta is a betta
Female beta is a murderer.
You should not put your Betta fish in the same tank in the first place, most likely the male will kill your other fish. by res do you mean red eared slider?
It is a kind of tropical fish.
It might meen that your betta fish is about to lay eggs.
