How do you know if he/she read it yet if he/she hasn't responded? If you totally know that they have read it and didnt respond is, maybe they are still mad and dont want to talk about it. But, what more can you do after you apologize? Just wait and see what happens!

It means either: A. They were busy at the time they received your message and will answer back later. B. They are thinking about what they want to say back to you and will reply later. C. They don't care / don't want to know you anymore / you will remain unforgiven. Only they will know really, so why not ask them?
