There are so many causes of abdominal and back pains it is impossible to say. You need to see a doctor. If you have not yet missed a period, that may be why the test is negative.

Contact the hospital and talk to a nurse. Describe what is going on..sounds to me that if you haven't already, you might be in the process of losing your mucus plug....you might be dilating a bit too...It's been a couple of years but I would go ahead and call. Make sure there's plenty of movement from the baby, too.

I would ask your doctor. However, when I was having pains in the side when I was 20 weeks pregnant, My doctor said that it was Round ligament pain. Its just when the ligaments are not wanting to stretch anymore, So its kinda like a muscle cramp.
