The fish is dying and will die if you don't change its water ASAP. There are some basic rules for keeping all species of fish. They are. :- 1 inch of fish needs at least 1 gallon of water. (Goldfish are 10 inch fish) :- Every tank needs a permanently running cycled filter. (This turns Ammonia into Nitrate biologically). :- Every tank needs at least 50% of its water replaced every week. (This keeps the Nitrate levels under control). If you keep to all the above rules your fish should do OK. If you don't I can guarantee that your fish will constantly be getting sick and they will have a shortened lifespan.
I'd say it's dead, or on it's way to dead... I had one do that last night and it was definitely a goner.
it is sleeping or it might be ill...
it needs a swirly....
Are you sure the fish is breathing? On most cases if the fish is upside down it means the fish is dead, but might also be that the fish is ill, so go to the vet! :)
laying still in the water, such as a boat
Passed Out But You Are Still Breathing
it means they are having trouble breathing
It's sick and/or dying.
I guess you mean, "I'm still alive, but I'm barley breathing"? If so its "Breakeven" by The Script.
It might be sleeping, or it has a disease(don't know which kind though, sorry). Sounds like it is on it's way out. Do frequent water changes and see if the fish recovers, but make sure the water is the same temp as the tank water! You don't want to stress a dying fish!
No Because if they did That Would Mean The Fish Is Still Alive By: Expert Serena
AnswerNot necessarily. Fish tend to do this when you have just changed their cage or if they are resting. A fish is certainly dead though when it floats to the top! If the fish lays at the bottom, it could mean a few things. It could be sleeping, hiding, or it could be injured/dying. You should worry if it is laying on its side or breathing strangely. If it seems healthy, the fish could just have a problem with its swim bladder, the organ that helps them go up and down in the tank. If it is a catfish and is missing a barbel, that can also mess up their swimming.
A gill has two meanings -it is a unit of liquid measure and it is part of the breathing system of a fish.
An organism is any living, breathing life on earth. For example, a fish is an organism, and so is a tree.
if your turtle is not moving and its still breathing that means it is just sleeping. If you turtle is not moving and not breathing that means its dead
