If you're taking hormone pills, you won't get your period. You need to stop taking them or take a placebo pill to actually get your period. If tou have stopped / are taking a placebo pill and your period is still more than a week late, there might be something wrong with the overall balance of hormones in your body. See a doctor. They can help you fix whatever problem there might be and help you to get a new prescription for hormone pills that will work better with and for your body.
There are a lot of variables here.
However, it is dependant on how long you have been taking the pill, how consistent you have been with your use of the contraceptive, other forms of protection used, changes in lifestyle (stress, work, family, excersise).
It is perfectly natural for periods to be delayed anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of months as your body's hormones change and regulate.
If you have been consistent with your pill for the last 2 months the chances of pregnancy is incredibly low, even without the use of other protection.
However do not forget the fact that the pill is not marketed with a garentee of 100% Contraception, if you are looking for an impervious contraceptive, Abstainence is alwyas the best, however the pill & Condom combination offer conception rates of below 0.01%
If on the other hand you wanted to concive a child, cease medication 2 weeks before the first attempt, and good luck!
I usually don't get my period till the second or third sugar pill. It's normal.
ASAP. Especially if you've already missed a period. Many of the newer meters can detect pregnancy before the first missed period. (or so they say)
Yes, it happens to people who swim for no logical reason at all.
You should still get a period while taking birth control pills. Your period usually occurs during the placebo week of pills. If the birth control was not taken properly, then there may be a chance of pregnancy, which delays your period. If you have not gotten your period during the placebo week, your should take a pregnancy test.
Ask your doctor
It is probably a side effect of the BCP. Just keep on taking them as ordered.
Yes you are okay. Most birth control pills have 3 weeks of active pills and 1 week of inactive pills. Be patient and allow the inactive pills to take effect.
No if you start it like that your menstrual cycle and birth control wont be working at the same pace. Its better to wait for your period
You should take the birth control pill as directed regardless of bleeding. Take a pregnancy test if you missed pills in the previous cycle.
i was on my period when i got my shot and it lasted for over 14 days. After it ended i havent had another period for over a year now.
Certain birth control pills do make your period lighter or stop completely while you are taking them. If it concerns you too much call your gyno, but I believe this is normal for some.
Your period will come naturally. Birth control does not help you get your period. Your body decides when you will get your period.
