What does it mean on iTunes when it says Erase and Sync your iPod?

It means that iTunes wants to erase all of your songs, videos, tones, audiobooks etc, from your other iTunes library that you have on another computer.
NOTE: By erasing and syncing, you WILL NOT erase the photos or videos as they are not part of the iTunes library you are syncing from.
There are two known ways of solving this problem:
1) Connect your iPod/iPhone/iPad to the computer. Open 'File' - 'Devices'. Select "Transfer purchases". It should immediately start transferring purchases, and your iPod will be synced to the iTunes library you are using.
However if this does not work, use the method below.
2) Connect your iPod/iPhone/iPad to the computer. It will ask you whether you want to erase and sync. Click "Cancel" Transfer all the music, videos, audiobooks etc. from your old/ other iTunes library to the library you are currently using.
Disconnect the device and plug it in again. It will once again ask you if you would like to "erase and sync". this time, click "erase and sync."
It will erase your old iTunes library to your new one.

It depends. Do you use iTunes with your iPod? If yes, then why not just sync it again and get all your songs back? But if you mean your iPod actually went on your computer and deleted all your music, which i don't think happens very often, then your going to have to download all your music again!
