Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves to be 'more than Christian', simply because they do NOT WORSHIP JESUS.
To be 'MORE THAN' Christian, one needs to understand that being 'a Christian' is very 'limiting', as far as 'time in history' goes.
Consider: -- Before Christ came, -- there were NO Christians; simply because Christ hadn't come yet. Yet The Bible shows that there were people approved by Jehovah God long before Christ came. Consider Noah, Abraham, the prophets; they were NOT Christians.
Consider also: The angels in heaven. They did not need Christ to die for them. Christ came to redeem only one specific 'kind-of-life; namely 'Man' Kind. Angels are therefore NOT Christians. Yet they are certainly worshipers of Jehovah God.
Consider also: Christ Jesus himself; does not worship himself. He worships his Father, Jehovah God. (Matt 4:10 is where Jesus quotes from Deut 6:13)
Therefore, by way of deduction, it is possible to be 'more than' Christian. In Revelation, Christ Jesus is actually called 'a faithful witness'; namely 'a witness' of someone other than himself, someone 'more than' himself. In John 14:28Jesus states that "The Father is 'greater than' I am."

∙ 8y agoIt is possible to be different to Christian, but it is hard to imagine the concept of being more than Christian.
An atheist could say that being an atheist is to be more than Christian, because you have taken personal responsibility for your moral decisions. A Muslim could say that he is more than Christian because he accepts the prophet Jesus but also the last prophet, Muhammad. A fundamentalist Christian could say that he is more than just Christian because of the strength of his beliefs. But all these are just points of view and no more.
