An Apostle is the highest office of the Priesthood in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church). There are only 15 ordained Apostles at one time, 12 which are members of the Quorum of 12 Apostles, and three which make up the First Presidency. Together these make up the governing body of the Church, and these 15 men are the only ones who have the authority to recieve revelation from God regarding the entire church. Apostles are given the same responsibilities and authority as the Apostles of the New Testament.

When one of the Twelve Apostles dies, his seat is left empty - usually until the next General Conference.

During this time, the Prophet will seek the will of the Lord on who should be ordained the next Apostle. This man could technically be almost any male in the Church, but is usually pulled from the Seventies Quorums, the Presiding Bishopric, or the Auxilliary Presidencies.

A week or so before General Conference, the Prophet will present the name he recieved for the next Apostle to the current Apostles and First Presidency in the Temple. If they agree with this choice, the man will be called in for an interview with them.

The man will then be presented to the general membership at General Conference, where a sustaining vote will be taken. If no major objections from the general membership were brought up during this vote, the new Apostle will be ordained in the Temple the following week.

Occassionally, the replacing of an Apostle will take more time, at which case this process will be completed at the General Conference following whenever the Prophet recieves the will of the Lord on the matter.

What does January sixth mean in the Mormon Catholic Church?

There is no such thing as the "Mormon Catholic Church". The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is commonly called the "Mormon" church, and the Roman Catholic Church is usually referred to as the "Catholic Church". They are two different churches. January 6th is Epiphany and the end of the Christmas season in the Catholic Church, which celebrates Christmas from December 24 to January 6. The Mormon Church typically does not recognize or celebrate Epiphany.

What will you do to get a Mormon save?

Do you mean 'What will you do to get a Mormon saved'? Nothing needs to be done. In order to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and officially become a "Mormon," a person must give testimony or witness to their local church leaders that they have repented of their past sins and accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. At baptism, they promise that they will commit their life to Christ. Therefore, Mormons are already saved.

Is there ever been a reborn Mormon?

This depends on what you mean by 'reborn'. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church), like most Christians, believe that they are 'born again' or 'reborn' when they become followers of Jesus Christ. They are baptized to sybolize this rebirth. So, from a Mormon perspective, every Mormon is "reborn". If you mean 'reborn' as in leaving Mormonism and returning to it later on, yes. This happens quite commonly in the Mormon church, especially among young adults who might abandon religious activity during their college years but return when they settle down and start a family. If you mean 'reborn' as in leaving Mormonism to join another faith, yes. This is also somewhat common. Often those who leave Mormonism to join another faith join a more liberal Christian church. If you mean 'reborn' in a more literal sense, as in someone who has been born, died, and then was born again, no. Mormons do not believe in reincarnation, and being born after death would qualify as reincarnation. Mormons do believe in resurrection, but do not believe that anyone has been resurrected since Mormonism began in 1830.

How can she be Mormon and dress immodestly?

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (commonly called the "Mormon" church) are not forced to follow the guidelines and standards of the Church. The Church teaches the standards of the Church thoroughly, and then allows the members to make their own decisions. While the Church excommunicates those who commit big sins, such as murder and adultry, for small things like dressing immodestly, there is no Church consequense. This is especially true of teens, young adults, and recent converts, as they are still growing in their convictions. Either this Mormon is not strong or devout in her faith, or she has not been taught well. That doesn't mean she isn't a Mormon, she just has a different level of adherence than others. To better understand the Church's standards of modest dressing, see the "Related Links" below.
