Nearly all teachers want to make sure their students have a good grasp on the information to pass the necessay tests. A good teacher also wants to make sure that skills learned in class can be used later in life as well.
Following the classroom rules and procedures will ensure that all of these goals are met. Additionally, adherence to these guidelines will allow for a fun environment to be cultivated. The teacher will be more relaxed when he or she knows they won't have to stop every few minutes to correct behavior, allowing for an overall more productive lesson.
