It means that whatever aspect of the game you are trying to use you have to have the newest expansion pack which is cataclysm.
If by Catalyst you mean the newly announced expansion Cataclysm... The official Blizzard website is.http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/cataclysm
Beasts as in mounts or pets?? Or do you mean like if you are a hunter training a beast
If with Cat you mean a Cat Druid, then yes you would have to play World of Warcraft. If you simply want to play a game with cats, there are plenty of pet-raising games around, and the online MMO Tera which is scheduled to be released in 2011 will feature the Popori race, which are cute anthropomorphic animals. I think what the asker meant was do you need World of Warcraft in order to play Cataclysm. If that was the question, then yes you do need the original World of Warcraft and also the Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King expansion.
To play WoW Cataclysm it is recommended to have a NVIDIA GeForce FX or ATI Radeon 9500 video card or better. If you were to buy a $40 or more graphics card now you should be fine. That doesn't mean it will run with full graphics just that it will work decently.
With titles, you could mean either the displayable character titles (like Kingslayer, the Patient and so on) or the game titles. Game titles are World of Warcraft (which is often called Vanilla or Classic by players), The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm - in that order. For a list of titles a character can earn and display, instead, see the related link.
Are you asking for the best Warcraft game? Or the best battlegrounds in World of Warcraft? If the best Warcraft game, then single player: III, The Frozen Throne. If you mean battlegrounds then I think Arathi is more fun than Warsong and Alterac Valley.
if you mean "world of warcraft" you can't
