I would not be too concerned about it. Sometimes an open window, door, or draft will do that. Also, check the wax - sometiems it builds up and smothers the wick, putting the candle out; you need to scrape the excess wax away.
I've never heard of anything that will adhere to candle wax. It's too greasy.
