I NEED THIS ANSWER TOO. Sorry, I'm no help.
I bet you're from my class (;
How do you define "too much religious freedom"? Do you mean something like this: People should be free to worship a deity, but they should NOT be free to NOT worship any deity? Or: People are free to choose any religion, but they MUST NOT choose This particular religion, or that particular religion? If there is a strong and just civil law, and if everyone abides by the civil law regardless of religion, then there can't be too much religious freedom. We (in the US) should have religious freedom within the civil law, including the right not to practice any religion at all.
Some African-Americans were offered freedom by either the colonists or the British. Volunteers to the Continental Army hoped that a free United States would mean new freedoms for all races. The British offered African-Americans freedom if they fought for them, but slaves risked the chance of being punished if caught running away from their masters.

I think there's an inconsistancy in your question. If you mean "Plymouth," not Jamestown, then yes. If it was supposed to just be "settlers," then no. Jamestown was founded for profit.
because the pilgrims were moving because the ppl in englan were mean!
it means that they had the right to do whatever they wanted as long as it wasn't illegal.
I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but the pilgrims faced religious discrimination in Europe and so they sailed to America for religious freedom.
It means freedom to worship in a way you wish to.
Freedom of religion or freedom of religious expression refers to the right of individuals to practice their religion or beliefs without interference or persecution from the government or others. This includes the freedom to worship, assemble, and express religious beliefs in public and private settings without fear of discrimination or coercion. It is a fundamental human right protected by many international agreements and constitutions around the world.

It is a right under the first amendment to the US constitution.What freedom from religion does mean, however, is the freedom from the rules and dogmas of other people’s religious beliefs so that we can be free to follow the demands of our own conscience, whether they take a religious form or not. Thus, we have both freedom of religion and freedom from religion because they are two sides of the same coin.Many people don’t realize — or don’t care — that real religious liberty must exist for everyone, not just for themselves.
they thought that it was religious because they thought that if they did that then they would be safe from the mean gods so that's why that did that it was just so they wouldn't be burnd into the ground.
