it could mean that your hamster was chewing on the bars in its cage, because thats what happened with mine. I would recommend buying something without bars ( i bought a 20 gallon fish tank for 29.99 at petsmart. A 10 gallon would do as well and this prevents the chewing). if thats not the case, i would check for other bald areas because your hamster could have a disease or mites or something. hope i helped!
If you're hamster is very old, or very young, don't worry. if they're not i'd see a vet.
Your hamster goes bald and grows a black spot on its back because it is about to die.
in snow white, the only bald and beardless dwarf is dopey.
My hamster used to have a bald patch until i rubbed on some tea tree cream on to the bald area for a couple of days until the fur started to grow back in. Hope this comes in useful :)
No. Talk to a vet.
If a hamster is bald or is losing its fur, it may be rubbing up against something which is causing it to lose fur. Your hamster may be old enough to be losing fur. I have a hamster who is nearly 4 and isn't bald, but i also have a hamster who is nearly 2 and is half bald. She has been confirmed for mites and is being treated with antibiotics. If your hamster might have mites, i would suggest going to a vet. If you haven't cleaned out your hamster in a while do that, and it might grow back. I cleaned my hamster out and it grew back for a while, then went again so i changed her cage with a bigger one, but she was still bald. our hamster might even be stressed so place him/her in a quiet place and place a house inside the cage so she/he can retreat there when stressed. Try and calm him/her hold him/her and talk to them so they know you are there. Hope i helped. [: And good Luck.
Sometimes when hamsters are stressed they rip their fur off.
Baldrick was the name of one of the characters in the Blackadder series. There is no character named 'Bald rick' that appeared in Red Dwarf. The names of the four main characters were Kryten, Cat, Dave Lister, and Arnold Rimmer.
It's mites. Talk to a vet.
It could be an infection of mites, causing the hamster to scratch itself excessively and cause bald patches. Or it could just be a sign of age.
No, not really. They are bald and pink. Their mom takes care of them. They do a little squirming, but they do not get up and move about.
It is very possible. It would be best to take your hamster to the vet immediatly and avoid touching its skin at all costs; ringworm can be transfered to humans.
