It is very sick and needs to either be taken to a vet or killed because it is in a lot of pain Might be a disease called "Dropsy". This disease is characterised by a swollen or hollow abdomen (Ascites). A concentration of fluid in the body tissues and cavities causes the fish's abdomen to become swollen and appear bloated. Swollen areas may exhibit a 'pine-cone' appearance caused by the fish's scales sticking out. You can best see this by viewing your fish from the top. Fish may also stop feeding, appear off-colour, become listless and/or lethargic, have sunken eyes, and hang at the top or stay at the bottom of the aquarium. The condition affects the fish's internal organs, ceasing proper function. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish_dropsy
im not sure but my goldfish turns upside down and is pretty much dead but still breathing but hes got worms
Either its sleeping or hes dying slowly this happen to me yesterday and they all die except for two
this happened to my goldfish once and we found out that it was doing this b ecause we fed it too much.
The duration of Still Breathing is 1.82 hours.
Goldfish that tilt to one side all the time are being bombarded by an infestation of parasites (the most common are flukes). Raise the salt concentration of a tank to 0.3% and treat the tank for parasites using an antiparasitic medication (available at the link posted below)
Could be. Breathing is not a response. A person who is unconscious would be unresponsive and still breathing.
Still Breathing was created on 1998-05-01.
Any fish large enough to swallow a goldfish will probably do so. Most fish eating birds will also eat them. Then of course there are the human idiots. People who swallow live goldfish because they think it is a 'smart' or 'in' thing to do.A goldfish does not have a predator, but it can still die from lack of food or water.
Yes you still can.
See if he is still breathing. If he's still breathing, he's not dead.
