The grandchildren of your grandmother and the grandchildren of any of her siblings (including of her brother) are second cousins to each other.
FOR MY OPINON NO BECAUSE GRANDMOTHER IS BLOOD AND ELDERLY AND HALF SISTER IS IN BY MARRIAGE SO YOU DON'T COME IN A FAMILY AND DISREPECT ELDERLY If the half-sister is the mother of the grandchild, or has legal custody of the grandchild through other means, she may have the authority to stop the grandmother fro seeing her grandchild, depending on whether the state in which the grandchild lives has laws establishing grandparents' rights.
If you are referring to YOUR grandmother and grandfather then your children are their great grandchildren. If you are referring to your parents, then your children are their grandchildren. The primary kinship dominates.
Your grandmother's brother is your great uncle. You and your great uncle's grandchild are second cousins to each other. Your and your great uncle's great grandson are second cousins, once removed.
Descendants are relatives of a person that down from one generation to the next. Parent to child to grandchild to great-grandchild. As you can see, the direction is a descending one. This is best illustrated using the standard family tree depiction of a person's relatives. A person's children and grandchildren and so on are shown one below the other in a descending direction. The opposite of a descendant is an ascendant. This is a person's parent, grandparent, great-grandparent and on in an ascending order.
First cousins' grandchildren are third cousins to each other.
You are the grandchild of your grandfather. If that grandfather had children other than your parent, and that child had a child - that person is your first cousin and also a grandchild of your grandfather. Your first cousins are, by definition, all those who are not your siblings but are also grandchildren of one of your grandparents. Remember that you have two sets of grandparents. Those first cousins who are related to you through one pair of grandparents are not related to your other grandparents at all.
First, some of your cousins are not related to your grandmother at all. That is, your father's mother is not related to the cousins you have who are the children of your mother'ssiblings. On the same side of the family, your first cousins are your grandmother's other grandchildren. Your second cousins are your grandmother's great nieces and great nephews. Your third cousins are your grandmother's first cousins, twice removed, your fourth cousins are your grandmothers second cousins, twice removed, etc., etc.
You and your uncle's child are first cousins to each other. You and your uncle's grandchild are first cousins, once removed, to each other.
Your niece and your son or daughter are first cousins. That would make your niece and your grandchild first cousins once removed. Your niece's child and your grandchild are second cousins.
No other relatives live with Katherine and her three grandchildren.
Great nephew. Your children are the first cousins of your niece and your children would be first cousins once removed. Your grandchildren and your niece's child would be second cousins.
