Don't be flattered. Basically he: 1 ) is testing out the waters to see if you'd be interested in hooking up with him behind his girlfriend's back. 2) believes you're the type of individual that's fine with flirting and possibly hooking up with guys who are already in relationships. 3) isn't mentioning a word of this flirtation to his girlfriend. All in all, not a classy way to act towards his girlfriend or you. He probably feels guilty about breaking up with her or is not sure yet but still wants to "test out the waters" to push him that step forward and to see if what he is flirting with might be better. (but that is a rare case, you could probably tell if he is that type of guy anyway)

Just because he speaks to you doesn't mean he's flirting with you, although if he is, he may just not think that flirting isn't allowed just because of a relationship. Don't get your hopes up.

The guy would display all the normal signs of liking a girl such as eye contact, flirting, wanting to spend time with you, complimenting you...etc however he might do these things, forgetting about his girlfriend, then hel feel guilty for flirting with you and he might be rude or mean to you to try to make himself feel less guilty. He also might try to avoid you. If he doesn't do these things then he likes you more than his girlfriend or hes a player. Whatever you do dont try and get with him if hes still with her - let him resolve his own problems by himself.

I think that that guy who's flirting with you is just pulling your leg. He's also just a player so watch out, that means he is VERY bad news.
