Usually when a horse drops grain while eating it is for one of two reasons:
It quite depends on the breeding of the horse.
Yearling or foal.
If your horse is experiencing stomach pains after eating too much grain you should call your equine Veterinarian immediately as the horse is showing signs of colic and could possibly develop Laminitis.
It depends. Colic caused by blockage of feed (like grain) happens when the horse doesn't chew the food well enough for it to be properly digested.
no it isn't. you could try soaking the grain and hay first before feeding it to the horse.
