Sorry, I really had a good laugh over your question, only because women are so bad for doing this and men truly are stunned over this question. Women are more communicators than most men as you know. Unfortunately, when men think, their face looks like they have strained their brain, or have been hit by a cattle prod. I'm sure they don't mean it and because men don't really talk amongst themselves that often with the exception of sports, business or smashing beer cans on their forehead after they belch, they don't have one clue to the fact women are bright and they want to have a civilized conversation. Yes, it's true ... many women are extremely intelligent, nosey and a "need to know" attitude and there are many famous women out there. The world is just not made out of men. You could be just sitting there thinking of nothing, or when the next football game is on, but you have to understand what the woman has to look at a pained look on a guys face like he's constipated, or a dazed look as if he's looking at something that's not visible to your her she "needs to know". Thus, the question "what are you thinking?" Most of the time it's curiosity and a woman really wants to be part of her man's life and that includes his thoughts, hopes and dreams. So, the next time she asks, tell her (even if it's about sports) or if you aren't thinking about anything in particular just tell her you're day-dreaming. Boing! Problem solved! I was joking in most of my post, and I did not say men were unintelligent when it came to business, sports, etc. What I was portraying to the poster was ... women and men don't think alike and many women give a guy a loaded question (I've done it myself) and some women expect an answer when it's really unfair to the guy. I disagree that women do this to control men. Sometimes women can feel bull low about themselves and need some reassurance from their mate, but do agree with you the guy will never be able to find the right words to make his mate feel better. I am sorry you didn't see the humor in it, but do believe the post was meant for the poster. If you look at my other posts I also back men on a lot issues. Sorry if I offended you. Marcy As much as the previous poster would like to portray men as slow-witted, insensitive neanderthals, I'm afraid it just isn't so. Women ask questions like that because they know there's no good answer, and pretty much whatever you say they're gonna look to nail you on it. They use tactics such as these to revel in the power they wield over men. You answer, they find something wrong with it, you end up apologizing profusely, and suddenly she's the 'victim' of her own question. So you end up trying to pay back something you never owed in the first place. I won't try to classify the whole gender like that, because that's just ignorant and untrue. The real truth is if you care about the other person enough, things like that shouldn't matter. I do agree though, tell the truth.
