Exactly that. He could still have feelings for you, but he's trying to get rid of them, for whatever reason that may be. It means that he has not yet forgotten the good (or bad) times he had with you and until the memories fade, he doesn't want to start up a relationship with somebody else. He wants you to leave him alone so he can get over you and move on. The only way to do this is to cut contact.

∙ 15y agoAlthough it may not seem this way, guys have hearts (weird I know). When a male says "I'm trying to get over you", he's saying 1 of 2 things: 1. You hurt my feelings/ego/heart 2. He's looking for attention.
