It means that the car beieves that the boot/trunk is open. Either the switch is broken or the latch hasn't closed properly.
The words "Boot Open" means the trunk lid is open. Cheers, Jeff

It depends on if you only locked the doors. If so yes. If not... NOOO
I hit the valet swtch in my 1995 xj6 when cleaning, The boot will open via the switch on the dash and or with my key, but when using the fob to open the car, all is fine but the boot has to be done via key as it dont via central looking.
try valet switch in 'glovebox' between front seats
if you mean the door to get to the petrol refill there is a white switch in the boot that you pull or push that will open it manually. you mean the cap inside that door then its a pain because my handle came of in my hand and i had to get a tea cloth and turn it and pull hard because it was being pulled down by pressure its neither then ignore all of this.
its in the boot right hand side open compartment door its there!
press the little button with the Jag face on the trunk lid..
P1775 is oxygen senson open circuit. Craig
First determine what it is- if it's orange it is most likely anti-freeze. Open cap and see if that's what it is.
Hi - Below the push button boot release is a key lock, under the lip between the number plate lights. Seems obvious but it is well hidden - I had to ring Lancaster Jaguar in Sidcup to ask where it was!
car boot is not opening
