It probably means that your female (girl) Betta is a male that has not yet fully matured.
you can tell if its a boy or girl by the fins the male Betta has long fins and the female Betta has small fins
A female betta has very small fins with a long body while the male betta have lots of nice flowing fins.
If it is a fantail betta, the boy will have very large, flowing fins. If it is a girl, the fins will be short and not very fancy.
usually males have long, flowing fins and are larger than females. also males have a membrane that when they flare is expanded almost looks like a beard. even though females flare, they dont have this membrane. males are also the only ones that make bubblenests
the color wont define gender is it has really big fancy fins then its a dude it its has smaller fins then its a girl
It's all in the tail. the males is larger and longer and the females is shorter.
they have short tails and less colors than the males
Males have much more "Exciting" fins -- flowy and dramatic, and very brightly colored. The female is smaller, with much more modest fins, usually not as brightly colored.and they aer brighter and that is how you tellMales have long, flowing fins and are bright colors. The females have short fins and are usually dull colors. Also, sometimes the female is smaller.
Males are usually bigger and more colorful than females.
Boys have more colors than girls....THE PRETTIER ONE
