Well, in my neighborhood anyway, it means that they want to jog around the high school track with you. lol!

- No really, that's what they'd mean.

But...in some circles around here..."running track" could also mean creating and recording a song or record, like in a regular studio, or even in someone's basement.

- As in "let's go lay down some tracks together...".

So, I'm afraid you'll have to take into context who you were speaking to at the time because my jogging buddies wouldn't say "Hey, I wanna run track with you" and then head for my basement and my music buddies wouldn't say the same and then put on their jogging shoes.

Next time just say "Well what the heck does that mean?"

I'm sure they'll tell ya.
