It is important to have the serpentine belt properly fit. If it snaps twice, it means the belt is work or it is too small.
The belt is getting old and brittle and should be replaced soon.
drive belt for what on this vehicle? do u mean serpentine belt,or fan belt,or timing belt?
You won't have a serpentine belt, Do you mean timing belt because in that case anywhere from 300-600$. If its the drive belts then about 14$ for each at your local part store.
I presume you mean the A/C compressor. The easiest way is to buy a serpentine belt for the model of the vehicle you have without A/C fitted, and then use that. This is a known temporary cure for roadside assistance.
It does not have a timing belt. It has a chain that drives the camshaft. OR do you mean the serpentine belt on the outside of the engine that drives the alternator, A/C, water pump?
Do you mean the "SERP" belt as in the serpentine belt that drives all the power steering. water pump, A/C and alternator pulleys. Hope this helps "G"
What do you mean by drive belt. If your talking about the serpentine belt, it should have an auto tensioner. Same goes for the timing belt. There is no adjustment. If the belt is loose then it needs to be replaced. ed724
The point at which you should have your serpentine belt changed depends on the vehicle. It is best to check the owner's manual. That said, under the best of conditions, the belt should last from 60,000 to 100,000 miles, depending on the vehicle. This doesn't mean the belt won't need to be adjusted at some point before it needs to be changed.
You mean belt- every 65-75K miles, along with the tensioner, thermostat, coolant, rollers, and serpentine belt.
15mm socket will fit the bolt. Do you mean what is the length of the bolt? I mean the length of the bolt.
If you mean the serpentine belt that runs the pulleys on the front of the car, there is a tensioner pulley that you can turn with a wrench to release the tension. Make sure you remember the routing of the belt so you can put the new belt on the same way.
Not sure what you mean. If you mean the serpentine accessory belt on the engine you fasten a 3/8 inch ratchet on the tensioner and pull it towards the front to release the tension then you can take it off the pulleys.
