Had same issue...but in my case there was a sensor (little rubber thing) behind the brake pedal that needed to be replaced. Had a mechanic do it for me. There is a little rubber sensor that apparently could get shifted or worn and either needs to be replaced or adjusted. Was driving me nuts and killing my battery, temporary fix is to take out the fuse located in the fuse panel. Theres one for brake lights.
