Snakes in dreams represent several things. Snakes can represent sex, healing, danger, people you dislike, disgust, or literal snakes, depending on the context. Perhaps you were in a romantic relationship or marriage and it didn't work out.
The color green can represent healing and also jealousy. Maybe you had a major infection, or maybe you were intensely jealous over something or someone.

When the mongoose eats and kills the snake, it knows to stay away from it's head, (Where the venom sack's are), and eat the rest of the body where none of the venom is. If the mongoose is bitten by the snake though, the snake will inject the venom through it's fangs, from the venom sacks, thus killing the mongoose.
