In British, Canadian and American law, the term recognizance is usually employed to describe an obligation of record, entered into before some court or magistrate duly authorized, whereby the party bound acknowledges (recognizes) that s/he owes a personal debt to the government or Crown, subject to a condition that the obligation to pay shall be avoided if he shall do some particular act, as if s/he shall appear in court at a specified time, keep the peace, or the like.
ROR usually means Released on your Own Recognizance, which means that you promise to appear at the court hearing, but you don't have to put up bail. You do still have to show up for the court date.
"OR" stands for "Own Recognizance". IOW, you are guaranteeing you will be in court on the date in which you are supposed to be (without having to post bail) and is determined by the judge/court.
The term personal recognizance refers to a specific bond that is used within the court system. A person who is granted personal recognizance is allowed to post bail until the date of their trial.
"Personal Recognizance" means that you have a good enough background and sufficient "ties to the community" that the court will release you without your having to post a money bond.
He summoned the waiter. She was summoned to meet the King. We were summoned to the Principal's office. She summoned up some courage and met her in-laws. We were being summoned to the court hearing.

On your own recognizance pretty much means that you are released on bail on the promise to appear for your court dates. You may be released by a justice of the peace on your own recognizance during your bail hearing.

"Summoned" means to officially call someone to be present, typically by authority or command. It is a formal request for someone to come or appear before a person or group.
It means that request is on file asking that the defendant be released on their own word that they will return for further court proceedings (i.e.: release without bond being required).
