What does it mean when you have small dreams about the future regularly that actually happen?

Dreams like this usually fall under one of three categories. one- coincidence, two-it is a past life experience resurfacing, or three- the dreams are about the future. a dream journal would be recommended to ascertain which category the dreams fall under. The other poster is correct. Many of us can not only dream, but think of something that is going to happen and it does, but I wouldn't quit your day job over it. My grandmother's dreams often came true and she saw her husband's death the night before he actually died. It was in 1928 and she dreamt he was coming home late from work (worked as a tram operator) and that suddenly she saw car headlights shining through the front room window and she knew then that her husband was dead. The very next night her dream came true and those very car headlights shone in her front room window. The only thing different about that happened in reality was 2 police officers coming to the door to inform her of the death of her husband. I had heard through the family that my grandmother had dreams come true, but being young I thought nothing about it. Then in the mid-1990s I had a female cousin I use to be close too and I hadn't heard from her in years. Her husband worked on the Vancouver SWAT team and she kept having these dreams that he was going to be shot. To me this was something most wives of police officers would fear and thought my cousin was over stressed and who could blame her because when the SWAT team is called on you know it's serious. Of course her husband came along for a visit with my husband and I. My cousin was frantic to talk to me about our grandmother and I did tell her that yes, indeed our grandmother's dreams did come true. Since our grandmother had passed away in the 1950s my cousin felt all alone and felt she would surely lose her husband. I believed in my cousin's dreams of losing her husband, but it was difficult to look at this man and tell him to quit his job. When my cousin went off to the washroom he looked at me and asked what I thought. Since he was into his late 50s I told him he should consider a desk job. His reply, "Funny you should say that because I have had the feeling that my number is coming up." I never saw my cousin again (it's as if she came into my life for a reason and left) but, I did hear 6 months later that her husband did take a desk job and the young officer that took his position on the SWAT team was gunned down and passed away 3 days later! He had dreams about cures for people (documented) and also future events that would happen. I think you would find it very interesting. Edgar Cayce believed in God, knew he was given a special gift and did not charge people for his services. He managed to start a small hospital through donations and found suitable doctors (as he was not a highly educated man nor a doctor) and that Hospital is still going to this day. I believe you call those type of dreams pre-cognitive:... Precognitive dreams (dreams that become true) are not uncommon. They usually happen when the person is in a state of anxiety or expectation focusing on an idea or event before falling asleep. You could be experiencing deja vu, which is an intense feeling that one has been in the exact situation or done a specific thing before. Deja vu often is explained by believing one dreamed of the experience beforehand. However, the person is never aware of having had the dream before it "comes true," but only in retrospect.
