Both the traction system and ABS systems are automatic safety features that will come on in certain weather conditions. If you are driving on wet or slick roads you might see the lights come on because it is automatically assisting you to keep you from slipping around on the road.
If the warning lights stay on all the time, the computer has detected a malfunction and set a trouble code.
traction
When the trac light is off, on a Buick Century, the traction control monitoring system is disengaged. It is recommended to have the trac system engaged on wet roads.
The traction control system is turned off.
Trac off means your traction control is turned off.
The traction control system is turned off. If the abs light is also on, there is a malfunction.
There is a problem with a speed sensor. Go to a repair shop and have it diagnosed.jd
it turns your traction control system on or off. if you have the system on the tires will slow automatically if they begin to slip and when you get traction again the tires will engage fully, when it is off you press the gas pedal and the tires will spin freely without slowing to get traction. if you are a drifter you want trac off
it means traction control feature
From my experience it would be traction control active.
If you see a light on the dashboard that flashes the word 'TRAC', then it is the traction control telling you that the car is struggling to find traction. If it flashed constantly, there may be something wrong with one of your tyres.
It is the front wheel drive traction control light. When your tires spin on wet roads the traction control helps regain your tires grip on pavement. Find the button and push it. The "trac off" light will go off and it will show "traction active" only when the system is in use. Note that you cant do a burn out with traction control "on". :)
It's for better traction in the snow.
