A connector with a small protrusion to ensure proper mating with its counterpart.

One difference between an SC and an LC connector is that an LC connecter is smaller in size than an SC connector. Also, an LC connector is considered a latch connector, whereas an SC connector is considered to be a push-pull connector.

Any data that is keyed to a numeric or text field may be sorted in ascending or descending order. Data that is keyed to a date may be sorted in chronological order (ascending with oldest first) or reverse-chronological order (descending order with newest first). Data that is keyed to a price may be sorted with most-expensive first (descending order) or least-expensive first (ascending order). Data that is keyed to a weight may be sorted in ascending or descending order of weight. And so on.
"Grounding a connector" means you join a connector in a circuit to another point in the circuit that is definitely at ground potential. This is done mainly when testing a circuit, to be sure that a particular point in that circuit really is at ground potential if you are not certain that it is already. Alternatively, you could be doing a test to temporarily ground a connector that is not normally at ground potential, to see what effect doing the test has on the behavior of the circuit.
Keyed connectors are connectors that have something on them or are shaped so they can be connected only one way. That is, so they cannot be connected incorrectly.
It means that the connector is not perfectly smooth and round. Somewhere on its body, there is some sort of a little bulge, blip, strip, or anything else that sticks out. That irregular piece must slide into a matching groove on the socket, otherwise the two halves of the connector don't connect. The purpose, of course, is to prevent inserting the connector the wrong way, and connecting pins together that are not meant to contact each other.
The connector is "keyed" so that it only goes on the injector one way. Locate the key on the connector to be replaced then note how the wires go into the connector and put the wires on the replacement connector in the same orientation.
Keyed connectors are designed to be inserted only in one direction. Keying is used as a safety feature to prevent wrong orientation/plug in which may lead to damaging the connector/circuit board

The PCI bus is an unterminated bus using either 3.3V or 5V signaling voltages. Cards using PCI are keyed by slots in their edge connector to prevent plugging the card into a connector on a bus that expects signaling voltages that they are not compatible with.
Keyed Up was created in 1983.

You speed the word as 'miskeyed'. When you put the prefix with the word keyed, you do not use the two 's' as when you say the word 'miss'.
