The osteopathic medical schools in the US put more of an emphasis on the musculoskeletal system than traditional medical schools (which confer the degree Doctor of Medicine, or MD). Both MDs and DOs complete the same post school residency training so in pracitice there is little difference between the 2. MPH stands for a Master of Public Health. This degree is usually given from a School of Public Health and deals with health from a more epidemiologic approach. It is not a medical degree (medical school not required).
