A car that has more cylinders, unltimatley has more pistons inside of the cylinders so the create more energy in a shorter period of time, but they also would have a lower mpg because they use more gas as well.
The more cylinders there are the more power the engine produces. That's why a bigger vehicle like a truck has 8 cylinders while a small compact car that doesn't weigh very much has a 4 cylinder.
Depending on the individual car, they come with 4 cylinders or 6 cylinders.
I have already checked and it is not the distributor cap, spark plugs or wires. The car was running fine last night and was on 3 cylinders this morning. Any information would help. Thanks!
If you mean in a car, more cylinders=more pistons so uses more fuel. The larger the car the larger the engine must be to proper it so if fuel efficiency is what you want, you need the smallest car you can get away with that passes your drive test. many of these are so efficient now, they are underpowered-a common complaint.
An electric motor has no cylinders.
Adding a turbocharging system to a vehicle is like bolting a reverse vacuum to the car. it forces air into the cylinders on their intake stroke. the result of this is more fuel (oxygen) to help the fuel-air mixture combust. The added compressed air is essentially more bang
A car having multiple cylinders makes the power evenly dispoursed so the engine runs more smoothly compared to 1 cylinder
If your car is a V6, it means it has six cylinders. If your car is a V8, it means that it has eight cylinders.
Buy a new car.
Same as a regular car engine but to give it the extra power it has some more cylinders
it has more horsepower and does not waste as much fuel.
