The spare tyre is not taken into consideration as part of an MOT. There is no legal requirement to carry a spare tyre and it is not part of the MOT test. Even if the spare tyre has a puncture/illegal tread etc. your car will not fail the MOT on this item.

if the codes are stored even with the light removed it will fail because of the stored code when the obd2 or mot If you take the light out you will fail MOT (mine just has). The light must work to pass MOT. If ABS light stays on then it will also fail. You need to fix the problem. (I have a 2000 323) It is not a sealed dash incidently.

As I have no idea what you mean by "MOT fail" and I cannot answer except to say that a blown head asset is very serious and you should stop driving this vehicle immediately. It is a major repair but easily repaired with new gaskets unless you continued to drive the car and ruin the engine.
