Without force there is no acceleration and with no acceleration the velocity remains constant. When the constant velocity is zero the object is at rest.

What do balanced forces do to an object?

Balanced forces keep object in its state of motion (moving or at stop). An objects state of motion can be altered when it is subjected to an unbalanced force. This reflects Newtons first law of motion.

What does newtons second law of motion state about objects at rest and objects in motion?

That would be Newton's First Law of Motion. It states that an object at rest, or in steady motion, tends to stay at rest or in motion unless acted upon be an outside unbalanced force.

What does newtons first law of motion state about objects on which forces are balanced?

Balance forces do not cause a change in motion they cancel each other out. Unbalanced forces cause a change in motion.

What is newtons 1st law of motion-?

Newtons first law of motion states that every object persists in its state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line unless it is compelled to change that state by forces impressed on it.

What does Newtons 1st law of motion state about objects on which forces are balanced?

They will continue to travel at a constant velocity and direction.

What is newtons first law of motion and what does it state?

newtons first law of motion is that an object will remain at rest, or keep moving in a straight line with constant speed, unless unbalanced force acts on it

According to Newton the natural motion of an object is?

Newtons laws Newton's First Law of Motion: I. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it

What is newtons fourth law?

Newton only had three laws of motion. They state that objects either stay still or continue moving unless something else causes them change motion.

What does newtons first law of motion state?

a body remains at rest or in motion with a constant velocity unless acted upon by external force.

State newtons first law of motion?

Every body continues in its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line, unless it is compelled to change that state by an external source, impressed upon it.

Do all objects easily accept changes in their state of motion?

All objects resist changes in their state of motion

What does Newton's firts law of motion state about objects on which forces are balanced?

Newton's First law says there will be no change in motion (no acceleration) for objects on which forces are balanced.

What does Newton's first law of motion state about objects on which forces are balanced?

first law is concerned with stability of motion or rest , with no forces involved

What does newtons 1 law mean in science?

Newton proposed three laws of motion. Newton's 1(first) law of motion-A body continues to be in the state of rest or motion until and unless an external force is applied to change its state.

How does newtons laws of motion apply to a bridges efficiency?

I. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.

State newtons 1 law?

Newtons first law states that and object in motion will stay in motion in a straight line unless and outside force has acted upon it and that an object at rest will stay at rest unless and outside force has acted upon it.

Is kicking a soccer ball an newtons first law?

No. kicking a soccer ball is not a newtons first law because newtons first law says that:"Every body continues in its state of rest or of uniform motion in a straight line unless it is compelled to change that state by an external source impressed upon it."It means that every body remains in its state of rest or in a state of uniform unless a force is applied to remove it.For example, a glass remains on a table unless a force is applied to it.The kicking a soccer ball is an example of newtons third law. Because when we kick the ball it moves in the forward direction while we moves backward direction. The forward motion of ball is "action" and the backward motion of our body is "reaction" that satisfies newtons third law of motion which says:"Action and reaction are equal in magnitude but opposite in direction."

Newtons first law states?

It states that" A body continues to maintain its state of rest or of motion unless some external force is applied."

What is Newtons laws of motion 1?

Newton’s First Law of Motion states that every object will remain in a state of rest or travelling with a constant velocity unless an external force acts on it.

Did Galileo believe that the natural state of an object was to be in motion?

Yes, Galileo stated that the natural state of objects is motion

Which does newtons third law of motion state?

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

What are newtons three laws-?

There are 3 newtons laws. The three newtons laws are object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state, relationship between an object's mass M, its acceleration A and equal and opposite reaction.

Explain how newtons 1st law can be derived from newtons 2nd law?

Newton's first law:I. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.(Things in motion stay at rest and things in motion stay in motion unless an external force is applied.)Newton's second law:II. The relationship between an object's mass m, its acceleration a, and the applied force F is F = ma.The second law says that, in order to have an acceleration, there must be an external force. In order for an object at rest to start moving, or for an object in motion to slow down/speed up, it has to accelerate. This implies that without an external force, there is no acceleration. Therefore, without an external force, objects at rest will stay at rest, and objects in motion will stay in motion with constant velocity.
