This applies to zero motion also.

Without force there is no acceleration and with no acceleration the velocity remains constant. When the constant velocity is zero the object is at rest.

That would be Newton's First Law of Motion. It states that an object at rest, or in steady motion, tends to stay at rest or in motion unless acted upon be an outside unbalanced force.

What do balanced forces do to an object?

Balanced forces keep object in its state of motion (moving or at stop). An objects state of motion can be altered when it is subjected to an unbalanced force. This reflects Newtons first law of motion.

Do all objects easily accept changes in their state of motion?

All objects resist changes in their state of motion

What does newtons 1 law mean in science?

Newton proposed three laws of motion. Newton's 1(first) law of motion-A body continues to be in the state of rest or motion until and unless an external force is applied to change its state.

How does newtons law of motion apply to a bridges' efficiency?

I. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.

What state in the us ALWAYS features part of newtons second law of motion?

All of them

To start or change the motion of an object which do you need a balanced or unbalanced force?

Newtons first law I. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr161/lect/history/newton3laws.html

The state when objects are not yet in motion?

Gravitational Energy

What does it take to change an objects state of motion?

it takes an unbalanced force to change an object's state of motion

What is 1st law of newton of motion?

Newtons 1st law states that every body continues to be in its own state of rest or of uniform motion along a straight path unless it is compelled by any external force to change its state. If a force is exerted on a body the body will move but without force it will not move.

What happens when objects start to happen?

It changes its state of motion.

Can unbalanced forces cause an object to move?

yes

What is the definition newtons laws of motion?

Newton's First law of motion states that everybody continues or tends to be in its state of rest, or of uniform motion, unless it is compelled to change that state by force impressed on it.
