Depends which oil? Not all are alike.
They mostly taste of the oil that they are cooked in.
Like a fish deep fried in cod liver oil.
It tastes like oil and/or non-salted liquid butter.
A mild flavored fish. Low oil content. Meaty.

Well i just tested it myself interestingly when i punch a small hole in the bottom of the bottle and taste the water it did not have any taste of oil in it not only that the bold that i used to sit the bottle in so far doesn't have any trace of oil in it.

Dog fur wouldn't really have a taste - it doesn't have volatile or aromatic compounds that would incite a taste sensation. If the dog fur has a lot of skin oil on it, you might taste an oily sensation, though.
I don't like the rings of callamari because they are tough and hard to chew. The callamari steaks are like scallops. They really don't have much taste but people usually season them with garlic & olive oil and they are tender and taste good. They cook fast, too.
