I have never heard of, neither do I think there is such a thing as a 'Plum Granite Plant'. However, I am assuming you meant to ask for a "pomegranate plant". A link to a picture of the plant is given below. If you have seed and it looks like small cucumber seed you might just have "plum granny" seed. It's easy to search. It's in the muskmelon family and matures in 75 days. Thanks to you, I now have some seed to go plant here in zone 5. My mom also had the word 'granite' on my little packet from her seed stash. Luckily, she also had 'granny'.
A prune is a dried plum. It is a dark brown and wrinkly. It looks like a really big raisin!
