The truth is that a tube is ran down into your stomach through your mouth or nose. It may or may not be flushed with water first but then the contents of your stomach are pumped out. Medicine may be used prior to so as to help with any issues from use of the tube.

Yes this is an option that is available. When using an airway device referred to as a Combitube you can provide airway management, artificial breathing, and access to the stomach.(for pumping it) The combitube is simply two tubes glued together that gets stuffed down the throat.
