It depends on the kanji. The most common is probably 来 which means 'coming' as in 'the coming week' which would be rai-shuu or 来週 or 'the coming year' whoch would be rai-nen or 来年. It could also be part of the future as in sho-rai or mi-rai which are 将来 and 未来, respectively.
You can use レイ /rei/ as transliteration of that word into Japanese, which can also be used as for the name 'Ray'. A good word for it in sense of 'beam, light' would be 光線 /kou sen/.
"Rae" is not a Japanese word."Rai" can have multiple meanings:らい (rai) - leprosyライ (rai) - rye来 (rai) - next雷 (rai) - lightning/thunder
ライリー /rai rii/.
"Mondai nai" means "no problem."
Translated to English, the Japanese word Rai stands for Lightning.
嫌い。 Kirai.Pronounced: kee-rai
暗い 牙 (ku rai - ki ba) would mean 'dark fang' and could be used as a title.
侍 /sa mu rai/ is originally a Japanese word. It means 'warrior, samurai' in English.
黒いライダー /ku roi rai daa/.
お手洗い /o te a rai/.
1) ガスライター (ga su rai taa) : gas lighter 2) ライター (rai taa) : lighter, writer
It means 'Lie'
未来 /mi rai/ is the general word for 'future'. 将来 /shou rai/ can also be used, but more in usage of 'prospects and possibilities of future'.
