Why do you have to spend 22 years of your life in school?

You don't, and in many countries, you would be unable to. Some children have to work to support their families. Others have to successfully pass periodic tests in order to be able to continue in school. In the U.S., the people decided to provide free education to everyone. This was an effort to provide a common experience and opportunity to everyone. Therefore, it is a choice to obtain what you need from school rather than just resentfully warm the seat. If you cannot manage that, speak to your parents about obtaining a GED and going to work, instead. Education is a privilege and we all too often forget that.

Do some adults hate and resent popular young boys?

The social ladder that a popular lad has climbed is not at all important in the real world. All adults know this, so sometimes they can get a bit frustrated if they see a 'popular' young man putting all their energy into maintaining their status, because that status doesn't really mean anything when you're out in the real world. However, if an adult is acting resentfully and hatefully towards you just because you're popular... well, that's actually quite pathetic of them and not the way a mature adult should be acting at all. I think this might go deeper than you think, I mean, maybe they were bullied by popular people at school or something like that. On the other hand you might want think about what you've done to get 'popular'. A good example of this would be back in the day when I was a little younger, a friend of mine brought cigarettes to the park and made everyone try them. This guy was pretty popular, but after this event most of the adults were very angry with him. Now, they weren't angry because he was popular, they were angry because he made their kids smoke. If you see what I mean. If an adult is compromising your safety for whatever reason, you must tell the appropriate services in your area.
